Side Dump Trailers

Our Demco triple-axle side dump trailer is configured with a 34-foot tub, air-ride suspension, and a 128-inch Iowa-spread axle arrangement. The driver changes the dump direction from the driver's side.

Demco Side-Dump Design

Demco positions the tub inside and below the frame to lower the trailer's center of gravity. The side-dump design uses three pivot points on each side, and Demco says FlexCorner lets the tub absorb twisting and shock during unloading.

Tub Length, Suspension, and Rated Capacity

A 34-foot tub does not establish rated volume, empty weight, GVWR, or axle ratings. Demco offers multiple chassis and tub combinations in its tri-axle family, so those ratings must come from the exact trailer rather than another model with the same nominal tub length. Across the current tri-axle family, Demco offers air-ride or spring-ride suspension and WABCO ABS brakes.

Load Distribution and Unloading Conditions

Demco operating guidance calls for even loading, attention to loaded axle weights and tractor capacity, and stable, level ground before dumping.
