Carrier and Hydraulic Fitment
Match the mulcher to the excavator's operating weight, measured auxiliary flow and pressure, motor package, case-drain arrangement, mount geometry, attachment weight, and the brush or vegetation being processed. Exact carrier requirements vary by model and configuration.
Excavator Mulcher Families
Baumalight MX heads cover multiple tracked and wheeled excavator classes. The MX230 is specified for 2-to-6-ton tracked excavators and 4-to-8-ton wheeled excavators, with a 30-inch rotor width.
The FAE BL0/EX-75 is specified for 3-to-4-ton excavators with 8-to-18 GPM and 2,600-to-3,600 PSI. The FAE BL1/EX/VT-75 is specified for 5-to-7.5-ton excavators, requires a case drain, and has a 31-inch working width.
Loftness Battle Ax heads offer different excavator-weight, cutting-width, tooth, mount, and hydraulic requirements. The 31BX20 is recommended for 10,000-to-15,000-pound excavators and has a 31-inch cutting width.
