We sell self-loading bale carriers from Anderson, Cloverdale, and Farm King. Anderson RBM and Cloverdale Mega carriers handle round bales; Farm King includes round-bale models and the 4480XD square-bale carrier. Match the carrier to bale width, diameter or cross-section, bale weight, and deck arrangement. Also confirm the loading system, tractor hydraulics, and transport requirements.
Anderson RBM Models
Both Anderson models handle round baleage, dry hay, and straw up to 6 ft. in diameter. Each uses a tubular self-loading arm, hydraulic unloading, and a hydraulic push-off system. The RBM2000 adds a telescopic arrangement for a second row.
Each loading arm is rated at 2,500 lb., and each carrier is rated for a maximum loaded machine weight of 42,000 lb. The RBM1400 and RBM2000 are both 8 ft. 4 in. wide and 38 ft. 5 in. long; height including the loading arm is 11 ft. 11 in. on the RBM1400 and 12 ft. on the RBM2000. Tandem axles and a safety chain are standard, while braked axle configurations and a rear camera are options.
Cloverdale Mega Series
Cloverdale equipment includes 8/10 and 12/14 Mega self-loading round-bale carriers. The loading arm adjusts for 4- or 5-ft.-wide bales, and the carriers handle round bales up to 6 ft. 6 in. in diameter. Both models use a walking tandem axle with flotation tires.
The 8/10 has a 2,500-lb. loading-arm limit, 39,000-lb. maximum total load, and approximately 28,000 lb. of payload. The Cloverdale 12/14 Mega Bale Carrier has the same 2,500-lb. arm limit with a 49,000-lb. maximum total load and approximately 36,000 lb. of payload. Bale weight and the total loaded-weight limit govern the load; the model names are not universal bale-count ratings.
Farm King Round- and Square-Bale Models
Our Farm King equipment includes single-row and double-width round-bale carriers plus the 4480XD square-bale carrier. The Farm King 1450SH round-bale carrier is the single-width model.
The Farm King 2400 carries up to ten 4x6 round bales or eight 5x6 round bales. A right-side pickup arm loads the deck, a hydraulic pusher moves bales rearward, and the deck tilts for unloading. The 2400 requires 80 hp and two double-acting hydraulic circuits.
The Farm King 4480XD handles 8-ft.-long square bales with a 25,000-lb. maximum load. Its base arrangement carries nine 48x48-in. bales in one row, eighteen 36x48-in. bales in two rows, or twenty-four 32x35-in. bales in two rows. An optional quarter-turn arrangement changes bale orientation and count. Farm King specifies 100 hp and 25 US gpm at 3,000 psi for the 4480XD. The carrier also uses 12-volt electrical power and a hand-held control, with open-center, closed-center, or load-sensing closed-center hydraulics.
Transport and Rental Options
Loaded dimensions and running gear differ substantially among these carriers. The Farm King 2400 is 12 ft. 7 in. wide for transport, while the 4480XD is 10 ft. 2 in. wide. Confirm machine width, height, axle and brake configuration, loaded weight, hitch, drawbar, and applicable transport requirements before moving the carrier on the road.
