Art's Way X550 Manure Spreader, No Scale, With Clutch

The Art's Way X550 pairs a 19-foot box with tandem axles, removable SRT8 vertical beaters and a hydraulically operated guillotine gate. Choose the quoted military-tire package or 600/50R22.5 flotation tires. Both packages include the PTO clutch and are supplied without a scale.

How the X550 feeds and spreads

Its 384-cubic-foot struck capacity is the level-filled box volume; the 551-cubic-foot heaped figure includes material above the sides. Compared with the X350, the longer box and 45-degree flared sides provide more carrying volume. The flares also open the loading area over the wheels for a loader bucket.

Variable apron speed and gate height regulate the material entering the beaters. The angled vertical beaters break up and spread the load as it leaves the box. A reversible 88C apron chain with tube-steel slats can draw material back from the beater area, and a single Berma 350 gear drive moves the apron.

The 1/2-inch Densilite floor and gate slides provide slick wear surfaces with limited thermal expansion and contraction. The military-tire package has an 82-inch loading height. The flotation package is listed at 84 inches, an important difference when comparing loading reach between the two tire choices.

The matching quoted PTO build is a 1,000-rpm, 1-3/8-inch, 21-spline CV driveline with clutch pack. Give us the tractor's PTO shaft size and spline count when ordering so we can confirm the connection.
