Overview

The Bale Band-It 220 is an automatic bundling system that takes small square bales directly from the baler, or from the ground with an optional pickup unit, and packages them into dense, easy-to-handle bundles. Each bundle is either 21 bales of 14" × 18" or 18 bales of 16" × 18", stacked tight for efficient loading, hauling, and storage.

Built on the proven 210 platform and updated for real-world hay operations, the Model 220 adds a hydraulic oil cooler, banding feed assist, hinged drum feeder, and extra external banding drum storage, letting you bale longer in hot conditions, reload banding faster, and work more efficiently. With capacity for 600+ small squares per hour (baler-dependent) and a bale length range of 35"–42" at any density, it’s aimed at high-output small-square producers who want to cut labor and keep stacks stable.

Key Features

Automatic Bundling: 18 or 21 Bale Packs
Bundles 21 bales of 14" × 18" or 18 bales of 16" × 18" into tight, strapped packs so you can load, haul, and unload with a loader instead of by hand—dramatically reducing field and yard labor.

High-Capacity Output - 600+ Bales/Hour
Designed to keep up with modern high-capacity small square balers, the 220 can process roughly 600 bales per hour or more when supplied with adequate hydraulic flow and a consistent bale supply.

Flexible Bale Length Range (35" - 42")
Accepts bale lengths from 35" to 42" at any bale density, giving you flexibility for different markets while still creating stable, stackable bundles that ship and store efficiently.

Improved Position Sensing
Upgraded position sensing on the strap guide arm and vertical plunger enhances tie-cycle reliability and reduces mis-ties, especially at higher bale rates.

Banding Feed Assist & Hinged Drum Feeder
Banding feed assist and a hinged drum feeder make rethreading and changing banding drums faster and simpler, so reloads are quicker and less frustrating in the field.

Additional External Banding Drum Storage
Extra banding drum storage mounted on the machine lets you carry more banding so you can stay in the field longer between reloads.

Hydraulic Oil Cooler for Long Days
An integrated hydraulic oil cooler helps keep hydraulic temperatures under control during long, hot days, improving performance and helping protect the system from overheating.

Optional Surge Brakes for Road Safety
Optional factory-equipped surge brakes give the 220 more stopping control when towed on the road or between fields, especially when running in rolling terrain with heavy bundles on board.

Tows Behind Baler or Tractor (With Pickup Unit)
Normally run directly behind the small square baler; with an optional pickup unit, the 220 can be towed behind the tractor and pick bales up off the ground, giving you flexibility in how you set up your harvesting system.

U.S.-Built with Farmer-Focused Support
Engineered, manufactured, and assembled in the U.S. with in-house fabrication and a dedicated support team, plus manuals, videos, and parts support to keep machines running.
