Description

The Baumalight 3P40 connects to a 1000 RPM tractor PTO and Category 2 three-point hitch. Its gearbox drives a 34-inch cutting wheel, while separate hydraulic cylinders control swing and lift. This keeps cutting power in the PTO driveline and lets tractor hydraulics position the head.

The stabilizer base supports the grinder as the wheel sweeps through a 65-degree arc. A flow control adjusts sweep feed to the cutting load. The head provides up to 32 inches of horizontal cut and reaches up to 14 inches below ground without repositioning the tractor for each cutting pass.

The ¾-inch steel rotor carries individually replaceable S1000 carbide teeth, with clearance behind the cutters for chips to escape. A floating deflector follows the cutting depth, and the PTO driveline has slip-clutch overload protection.
