Overview

The Baumalight CF772 Open-Front Skid Steer Rotary Brush Cutter is a severe-duty, high-flow cutter built for clearing dense brush, saplings, and small trees with a full 72" cutting width and 83" path width. A rugged 1/4" steel deck, reinforced frame, and four AR400 slasher blades let it work in rough terrain, taking down trees in a “sawing” action through the 72" open mouth while standing up to daily contractor use.

Equipped with the HX590 bent-axis piston motor, this CF772 configuration is tuned for high-flow skid steers in roughly the 30-50 GPM range. The piston motor converts hydraulic flow into strong torque and high tip speed for aggressive cutting, while the built-in hydraulic protection system, open front with push bar, and rear chain curtain help manage debris and protect your carrier.

A 72" working width and approximately 83" cutting path let you clear beyond your track or tire width, so you can finish passes tight to fences, treelines, and field edges without constant overlap.

Four AR400 Slasher Blades
Heavy AR400 steel blades provide four cutting edges on the rotor, designed for two cuts per pass with curved tips. AR400 alloy resists bending and abrasion when you’re working in rocky, stump-ridden ground.

1/4" Steel Deck & Severe-Duty Frame
The 1/4" plate steel deck and boxed, reinforced frame are built for commercial-duty land clearing, resisting oil-canning and twist while you bounce over ruts, stumps, and rough pasture.

HX590 Bent-Axis Piston Motor (High-Flow)
HX590 piston motor is matched to high-flow skid steers (approx. 30-50 GPM), making efficient use of your hydraulic flow and pressure to keep blade speed up in heavy material. This configuration is ideal for larger SSL/CTL machines with true high-flow circuits.

Built-In Hydraulic System Protection
Integrated hydraulic relief and system protection help shield both the cutter and your skid steer from pressure spikes when you hit rocks, stumps, or heavy tangled brush, dumping excess pressure instead of sending it through the motor and driveline.

Open Front with Wide Mouth & Push Bar
The open-front design and 72" wide mouth allow you to “saw” through larger stems, while the push bar helps control how trees and tall brush fall into the blades for faster, more controlled clearing.

Rear Chain Curtain Debris Management
A heavy rear chain curtain contains flying debris while still letting mulched material exit, improving safety when working near fences, buildings, roads, or other equipment.

Up to ~6" Brush Capacity
With four blades, high tip speed, and a severe-duty frame, the CF772 is rated for brush and saplings up to around 6" in diameter (species and conditions dependent), making it a great fit for fence-line reclaiming, pipeline and utility work, and large acreage clearing.
