The Baumalight CXC550 excavator rotary brush cutter has a 50-inch cutting width, a 67-inch path width and an HX550 hydraulic motor. Three swinging AR400 slasher blades cut the brush, swing away when they strike an obstruction and can be reversed to expose a fresh cutting edge.
Baumalight’s carrier-size guide lists 8–20-ton tracked excavators and 10–24-ton wheeled excavators for the CXC550.
A reinforced quarter-inch steel deck surrounds the rotor. The bolt-on attachment interface allows an excavator-specific mount to be matched to the head. A properly connected case drain is required.
