The Baumalight FGS952 combines a 52-inch horizontal saw disc with hydraulic holding arms to cut, hold and place trees. The disc carries 18 replaceable B8000 Beaver teeth and is rated for a maximum 20-inch cut. A 36-inch throat gives clearance at the base of trees with a broad root flare.
Its five-eighths-inch AR400 blade uses a thinner, abrasion-resistant disc that Baumalight describes as reducing binding during the cut. High-stress areas of the frame also use AR400 steel. The open frame gives the operator a clearer view of the stem and saw.
A flow-directing valve sends hydraulic flow to the grabber cylinder to increase closing speed and force. This helps the holding arms take control of the severed tree for transport and placement. The bent-axis piston motor powers the saw, while the carrier’s compatible auxiliary hydraulics and electrical controls operate the attachment functions.
A dedicated case drain is critical. This model requires two positive switchable 12-volt signals. The universal skid steer adapter, hydraulic hoses and wiring to the auxiliary connection are included; hydraulic couplers are not included.
