Description

The Baumalight IXP508G gives a mini excavator a pivoting shear and grabber for cutting and placing trees and limbs. The head pivots through 90 degrees to work on standing stems or horizontal limbs. A moving grabber closes against a fixed curved cradle to retain severed material for controlled placement.

The AR400 attachment weighs 705 lb and is listed for the 3–10 ton excavator class. Protected internal hose routing and a pivoting support manage the hoses as the head moves.

Baumalight’s cutting chart gives 6-inch hardwood or 7-inch softwood at 3,000 PSI. The maximum 8-inch diameter is charted at 4,000 PSI for hardwood and 3,400 PSI for softwood. The excavator’s hydraulic pressure therefore matters as well as its size class.
