Overview

The Baumalight MX230 Excavator Mulcher is a compact, flail-style brush mulcher designed for 2–8 ton excavators that need a light, economical head for heavy grass and small-diameter brush. With a 30" cutting width (38" path width), it’s sized for mini and mid-size machines doing fence lines, ditches, and roadside or property-edge maintenance.

Built around 22 swing-back flail teeth in a spiral pattern, the MX230 is meant to shrug off rock strikes and uneven terrain. The flails pivot back on impact to reduce tooth damage, while an integrated relief valve and skid shoes help protect the hydraulic system and let the head float over the ground for consistent cut quality. Optional heavier F3000 blade teeth boost mulching capacity when you need to handle tougher brush without changing the rest of the head.

Teeth are arranged in a spiral so only one tooth engages at a time, smoothing out load spikes and vibration for cleaner mulching and easier control from the cab.

Integrated Skid Shoes
Built-in skid shoes help the head float over uneven ground, keeping the rotor at a consistent height and improving cut quality while protecting both the teeth and the terrain.

Optional F3000 Heavy Blade Teeth Upgrade
For heavier brush, you can upgrade from standard flail teeth to thicker 6 mm F3000 blade teeth, instantly increasing mulching capacity without changing the rest of the attachment.
