Description

The Baumalight RSS580 skid steer screw splitter is supplied with the planetary drive, splitter cone, universal skid steer plate and hydraulic hoses. The cone threads into the wood as it rotates to split the log, and the hardened tip can be replaced when it wears.

Baumalight recommends 20–45 GPM and 2,500–3,000 PSI for this model. Its maximum carrier weight for use with the splitter cone is 7,000 pounds. Check those figures against the skid steer’s auxiliary hydraulics and operating weight when selecting the drive.

The 2-inch hex output connects the cone to the drive. Shielding protects the drive-shaft seals, and the attachment needs no 12-volt electrical connection.
