Description

The Baumalight S28 combines a 24-inch cutting wheel with hydraulic swing for grinding stumps from a stationary loader position. Its motor drives the wheel through a gearbox that increases torque at the cutter. A flow control adjusts swing speed so the feed can be matched to the cutting load.

The head sweeps through a 63-degree arc and provides up to 22 inches of horizontal cut. The ¾-inch steel rotor carries 34 individually replaceable S1000 carbide planer teeth, with clearance between the cutters and wheel for chips to escape. A floating deflector follows the cut to direct debris.

This configuration has the S645 motor, with a 30–40 GPM carrier-flow selection guide. It requires a case drain and a compatible 12V electrical connection. Hydraulic couplers are excluded so they can be matched to the loader.
