The Baumalight ST650 digs and lifts trees with a 50-inch root ball and six individually operated spade blades. Electric controls let the operator work each blade from the cab. Its skid steer plate carries a dual-hinged frame: the outer arms swing open around the trunk, giving access beneath low branches before the frame closes for digging.
The quarter-inch AR400 blades form a semi-truncated root ball, 43 inches deep. Individual blade control lets the operator work progressively around the tree. The 47-inch frame opening provides room to position the trunk, while the hinged arms bring the digging blades back around the root ball.
Baumalight’s tree-size guide is up to 5-inch evergreen trunks or 4-inch hardwood trunks. Carrier selection must account for the lifted soil as well as the attachment: the manufacturer’s reference weight rises from 3,238 lb empty to 5,785 lb with a root ball. Actual soil weight varies. Its minimum carrier-weight guide is 9,200 lb for a wheeled skid steer or 8,500 lb for a tracked machine; those figures are separate from the loader’s rated lifting capacity.
