The Baumalight SWA550 places a 60-inch flail head on a curved single-arm boom for mowing grass and light brush along ditches, roadsides and fence lines. Its 7-foot total reach is measured with the boom flat. The curved arm provides clearance over obstacles, and the head can be angled to meet the cutting surface.
A solid flat-free tire at the front and a steel rear roller support the mower head on the ground. Adjustable front and rear mounting points set the cutting height, while the floating deck follows the surface. This gives the head its own ground support as the loader carries the boom.
The standard rotor carries 48 F2000 flail clusters. Bolt-on cutters can be replaced individually, and greaseable pins provide service points at the moving joints. The boom folds into a compact position for travel between mowing areas.
This mower is configured with the D530 piston motor and D004904 assembly for control through compatible skid steer joystick buttons. The carrier needs four live switchable AUX pins. A case drain is required; hydraulic hoses are included and couplers are excluded.
