Fecon FMX28 Excavator Mulcher, 28" Working Width, 3.5-8 Ton Excavators

The Fecon FMX28 is a compact excavator mulcher with a 28-inch working width for 3.5- to 8-ton excavators. Fecon lists a 12- to 40-GPM hydraulic range and identifies 3.5 to 5 tons as the optimized carrier range.

FMX28 Mulching Head

The split-ring rotor carries 14 cutting tools. A variable-displacement hydraulic motor supports the published flow range, while the 40-inch overall width keeps the head compact for selective clearing, right-of-way work, and vegetation management around structures and property lines.

Carrier Fitment

Confirm excavator operating weight, auxiliary flow and pressure, coupler or pin dimensions, case-drain requirements, hydraulic connections, counterweight, and lift capacity. The excavator adapter mount is configured separately for the carrier.

Hydraulic and Mounting Review

The published flow range covers several excavator sizes, but flow alone does not establish compatibility. We also need the carrier's auxiliary pressure, return and case-drain arrangement, coupler or pin dimensions, attachment circuit controls, lift chart, and counterweight configuration. Supplying the excavator make, model, serial number, and hydraulic specifications allows us to review the complete mounting and plumbing package.
