Haybuster 2665 Shortcut Bale Processor, Hydraulic Deflector

The Haybuster 2665 Shortcut uses the same two-bale layout as the 2660 but adds more cutting action for operators who want shorter processed material. Its 40 flails, nine slug bars, three stripper channels, and 1,300 RPM rotor are designed to produce a finished length of roughly two to four inches for feeding, bedding, and erosion-control work.

One bale runs in the chamber while a second rides on the two-stage loader. A three-chain slat conveyor keeps the bale against the slug bars as the rotor works through it. This listed configuration includes a CV PTO driveline, highway tires, and a hydraulic right-side deflector.

The shorter cut comes from the 2665's rotor, flail, slug-bar, and stripper arrangement rather than the deflector. Tractor PTO power, bale type and moisture, slug-bar position, and conveyor speed all affect how quickly the bale processes and how uniform the finished material will be.
