Description

The Tar River DRL072 is a 68-inch seed and fertilizer drill for worked or tilled ground. Ten double-disc openers place seed on 7-inch spacing, with planting depth adjustable from 3/4 to 2 inches. It is intended for grass, corn, beans, oats, and similar crops rather than no-till planting through established residue.

Separate stainless-steel seed and fertilizer boxes use 10 cups each, allowing both products to be applied in the same pass. Calibrate the two metering systems separately for the seed and fertilizer rates being applied.

Before planting, match the depth and meter settings to the crop and seedbed. The tractor also needs a compatible Category I/II hitch and enough lift capacity for the 741-pound drill plus the material carried in both boxes.
